Bryo here, thinking about a TDM based on the Interdimensional Subway (aka Elizabeth) from Final Fantasy Unlimited. Characters find a subway station in an unusual spot and descend the stairs to find that the tunnels look like a weird timespace anomaly.

The train will have stops at several different worlds/universes with their own options for Incidents. The subway station will have its own funkiness (newsagents selling strange things, fast food of the damned, eldritch art installations, occasional bandits/muggers/bewildered knights who are going to attack someone to relieve their stress).
